Mena Alexandera Suvari is an American model, actress and designer. Born on 13 February 1979. When she was in 1990, shortly following her debut as a model, Suvari began to act in television programs like Boy Meets World. The actress made her debut in film in 1997's dramatic film Nowhere. She made the transition to major roles with her performances as a character in American Beauty for which she received nominations for the BAFTA Award and American Pie and American Pie, both of which gained the attention of the world. In the following years, she starred on screen in Loser (2000) alongside her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and then played the principal character in the comedy Sugar & Spice (2001). In 2002, she appeared in Spun the independent drama as well as the 2004 thriller, Trauma. Other appearances on HBO include the series Six Feet Under. In 2008, she included in a variety of films, including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the film adaptation to The Garden of Eden. She has been a strong supporter and campaigner for the African Medical and Research Foundation.
